That was the challenge faced by McDonald’s Pignan, whose rating had stagnated at 2.8, mostly driven by unhappy customers.


With Up Review and a QR code contest deployed at the kiosks, drive-thru, and in the dining area, the restaurant encouraged satisfied customers to share their opinions.


In just 6 weeks :

👉 Rating improved from 2.8 to 3.7


👉 +3,300 contacts collected to power marketing actions across its 8 franchise restaurants.

The solution implemented

To boost its online reputation, McDonald’s Pignan launched a contest with Up Review over a 6-week period, split into 3 successive waves.


Laminated A5 and A6 flyers were placed on restaurant tables and counters, accessible during waiting times. The principle was simple: scan a QR code, leave a Google review, and spin the prize wheel !


To maximize impact, two original supports were added :


  • a life-size prize wheel placed at the entrance
  • a customized visual displayed on the drive-thru kiosks
